Assignment Overview

• Carbondale, Illinois 62901
• 13-week W-2 travel contract; 1 opening
• Night shifts, 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Up to two weekends per six weeks, subject to variation, and holidays as needed. No call.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Target start: October 28, 2026, pending facility confirmation.

Your Work

Be part of a pivotal moment for patients and families. Bring attentive assessment, clear communication and a steady clinical presence to labor and delivery, adapting as needs change and coordinating with the care team. This assignment is an opportunity to combine skilled bedside care with the personal connection that makes maternity nursing meaningful.

Provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and postoperative obstetric care, including high-risk patients at 32 weeks gestation and above. Support cesarean circulation and recovery within demonstrated competency.

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN license.
• At least two years of relevant experience; three years of labor and delivery experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring.
• Cesarean circulation, PACU recovery and OB emergency experience preferred.
• STABLE preferred.
